There once was a girl who had a big heart and believed in the world and all it had to offer. She believed the greatest heartache is to have lived without having at least seen the world once over. As she got older she began to accept that she might not ever see the great spans of the world. She discovered however, that the adventure of books and that she might travel to far away places without ever leaving her own living room simply by turning the pages of books; books from all genres fact and fiction. She found that with each new topic she learned a new and different language. Each topic having words and terminology of its own.
Then as one creative moment led to another she found herself learning of table designs and tablescapes. The very tools she used for dining everyday had so much meaning behind them some having their own mysterious origin. From Limoges and Haviland purchased from an obscure Russian women in a parking lot to a crystal and sterling water pitcher purchased from a thrift store for an amount far less than its worth, according to Ebay. Being the forever nostalgic she longed to reconnect with the dining relics of her Grandmothers China Closet and found how they could be appreciated in a daily tablescape. She often wondered about what the stories would be if these pieces could talk. Then the un-imaginable happened the intrigue of children both big and little reconnecting to the dinner table because the tablescape was suddenly interesting was a moment of pure fascination. The dinner table become the spot to congregate not the $30,000 basement that I thought would have been.
Something about coming to the table and its wealth of adventure is what spurred this woman to become her best self through creative expression for herself, her family and those who visit her home. So much so that she grew in desire to want to share her expressions with others and journey along with them to find their own expressions to be enjoyed in their home with others.
